Junky Comics is officially opening! Come down, have a beer, read some comics and check out some Wes Anderson inspired artwork by some incredible artists on Friday April 10 from 6:00 pm.

Junky Comics is an independent comic book store established by Brisbane illustrator Junky, which until now, lived primarily on the world wide web. After a handful of successful pop up stores, Junky Comics has finally caved into popular demand, and is pleased to announce the official launch of its first store in West End this April 10th.

Housing a selection of household comic classics from Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image Comics as well as independent and alternative works from Nobrow and Fantagraphics, Junky Comics will also be the number one spot for everything from 60’s feminist cartoons, graphic novels and zines to art books, magazines and literature.

Junky Comics will also double as a creative space for workshops, trivia nights and art exhibitions, and to celebrate the launch, we’ve joined forces with Brisbane based art initiative NOFUN who will be hosting a series of group exhibitions, with the first show titled:
