Dancers and drones entwine in the provocative and poignant world premiere of Luci In The Sky by Australasian Dance Collective (ADC), playing at QPAC Playhouse from May 5–13. In a world of modern technology, it isn’t hard to picture a drone with human emotion and unique personality – rest assured this is all made possible with the help of a human hand as each drone is encoded with a unique personality – from joyful to melancholic, identifiable by the colour of its light source, selected to represent that personality.

Audiences are invited to know and understand the individuals as they create on stage relationships with the dancers. The performance will spark conversation about how technology embeds itself in daily lives and how much humans can protect their values of consent and choice – making for scintillating post show debates.
