For the first time ever, the beloved Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols will be streamed live from Riverstage on Saturday December 2, for free! Those who missed out on tickets will be able to join in on the Christmas cheer and embrace the festive spirit in the lush surrounds of Victoria Park. From 3:00 pm, keen festive folk will be able to mosey through merry markets, enjoy some Rudolph-approved rides, face-painting and giveaways, and a visit from Santa himself at the Southside Collective Christmas Markets. Then roll out the picnic rug from 5:00 pm and nab a spot on the lawn to enjoy the pre-show entertainment as the sun sets, alongside some live jazz performances. A flavour-packed line-up of food trucks will also be available from 5:00 pm for your sipping and snacking needs, or pack your own picnic to ensure you have exactly what you want. From 7:00 pm, have the popcorn ready as the main event will kick off. Hosted by Naomi Price, this enchanting evening features a spectacular selection of stars from stage and screen, including Dami Im, Johnny Manuel, Caroline O’Connor, Swing on This, Loren Hunter, Jack Chambers, Rebecca Cassidy, Irena Lysiuk, Alisha Todd and Brooke Schubert – just to name a few.
