Full Spectrum

Full Spectrum

Full Spectrum delves into the intersection of sound and art with an enveloping collision of electronic music and visuals brought to life by Brisbane composer Anna Whitaker and visual artist Riley Towers. With immersive electronic music and enchanting visuals, it’s a genre-defying night of art that transcends the ordinary and will set you in motion.

Anna Whitaker, a multi award-winning sound designer and composer based in Meanjin/Brisbane, is known for her experimental, acousmatic works, and surround sound compositions. Anna has left her sonic imprint on productions with companies such as MONA FOMA, Sydney Dance Company, Australasian Dance Company, and more, and is the recipient of the 2020/2021 and 2019 Matilda Award for Best Sound Design.

Riley Towers, a multidisciplinary artist and visual designer, brings a passion for texture, colour, collage, and ‘found’ materials to the collaboration. With an Honors degree in Interactive and Visual Design from Queensland University of Technology, Riley’s live-programmed visuals have graced performances in the electronic music scenes of Brisbane and Melbourne. Her experimental approach to live-programming, combining archival footage with her extensive paper collage practice, promises dynamic visuals that respond organically to the music.

For a single night, Full Spectrum offers a secure space for you to dance, groove, or simply let the immersive art wash over you. Delight in a rich array of textures for both ears and eyes—a captivating blend of vocals and visuals.

An evening of eccentricity, celebration, and experimentation, this One Night Stand is bound to leave you thoroughly satisfied.
