Brisbane filmgoers will need to switch into high gear when the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour heads to the Brisbane Powerhouse. The festival, features a selection of the world’s most captivating mountain-themed short films that will leave audiences on the edges of their seats.

The Banff Mountain Festival is an iconic event which takes place every November in the mountain town of Banff, in Canada. More than 300 mountain culture, adventure and exploration films are shown during the week-long celebration. Each year, a selection of award winners and audience favourites then visits 35 countries around the globe as part of the festival’s official world tour.

This year, the Australian line-up features two-and-a-half hours of sublime footage shot in some of the most wild and remote corners of the world. Sure to get hearts racing, it showcases films packed full of mesmerising cinematography, thought-provoking storylines and adrenalin-inducing action sequences.
