John Foster, one of the world’s leading exponents of performance on historical trumpets leads Queensland’s only Period Instrument Orchestra, Queensland Baroque in a programme of triumphant Baroque masterpieces to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the 4MBS Festival of Classics.

Music by Henry and Daniel Purcell, Telemann, Graupner, Hasse and Franceschini. Excerpts from Vivaldi’s Gloria, Let the Bright Seraphim from Handel’s Solomon and Bach’s Cantata No. 51 Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen. Sing along with Purcell’s Come, Come Ye Sons of Art.

Leslie Martin-Nightingale, a Brisbane favourite brings her wealth of experience to these works and showcases an emerging artist from Toowoomba, Soprano, Calista Walters.
