YES! Brisbane Pride Choir: 20 years on stage

The Brisbane Pride Choir has shared songs and stories around Australia and the world since 1998. That’s 20 years of spreading love through music.

And to think: homosexuality was unlawful in Queensland until 1990. The choir will celebrate its 20th anniversary and the historic ‘yes’ vote at Brisbane Powerhouse on 17 May, alongside special guests Lucinda Shaw, Candy Surprise, Dawn Daylight, Mary Jane Carpenter and Petit Four.

The night will feature a range of music, from modern mash-ups (I Will Survive/Survivor) to classic ballads (Somewhere Over the Rainbow and My Island Home), performed by both current and former singers from the choir.

This event will feature an Auslan interpreter.
