Robin Fox: Triptych

Robin Fox: Triptych

A trio of audio-visual masterminds will descend on Brisbane Powerhouse for a one-off large-scale showcase of light, laser and sound. Part of boundary-pushing arts and culture festival, ΩHMlegendary Australian audio-visual artist Robin Fox (whose recent installations include Night Sky for Brisbane Festival and Aqua Luma for Mona Foma) is presenting the Australian premiere of Triptych, forming a triple bill of performances featuring Los Angeles-based composer Yann Novak and Iranian sound artist mHz (Mo H. Zareei).

Described as an “audio-visual space-time carving”, Robin Fox’s Triptych incorporates three RGB laser projectors that work in synchronicity to realise a full-colour geometry. Meanwhile, Yann Novak, who is partially colour blind, uses sound and light to explore how intangible materials can focus our awareness. Sound artist mHz, who has exhibited across the world, highlights the beauty in the basics of sound and light production, and audio-visual elements, drawing inspiration from material and architecture.

A performance not to be missed!
