Presenting a new, stylish and more sophisticated way to travel in the 1950s motels have marked their place in Australian history. Now, you can take a nostalgic trip back in time with the new exhibition Reception this way: motels – a sentimental journey with Tim Ross, offering visitors the chance to travel around Australia and revisit the memorises of the classic Aussie motel. From family holidays and long road trips in the sweltering summer heat, to continental breakfasts and mid-century mod cons, this exhibition has it all! Reception this way is developed by National Archives of Australia in collaboration with comedian Tim Ross, and proudly hosted by The Workshops Rail Museum.
