Parkinson Multicultural and Dragon Boat Festival

Parkinson Multicultural and Dragon Boat Festival

The Parkinson Multicultural and Dragon Boat Festival commemorates the 2000 year old story of poet Qu Yuan, who threw himself into the Miluo River in protest against a corrupt kingdom. The tale of Qu Yuan gave rise to one of China’s largest traditional holidays, The Dragon Boat Festival, which is now celebrated annually all over the world!

With more than fifteen Dragon Boat teams competing, get set for a gripping race across Forest Lake. With live entertainment, food and drink all on offer, this is the perfect family-friendly event to celebrate a historic Chinese tradition.
