Over the past two decades, the Brisbane-based circus ensemble has earned itself a reputation as one of the most impressive circus companies in the world with its productions that are nothing short of heart-stopping.

On by Circa, sees Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz explore the gift of weight that lies at the heart of acrobatics. The simple act of giving and accepting another’s mass is transformed into a profound meditation about beauty, loss and trust. To achieve this alchemy, the stage elements are reduced to their most essential –eight extraordinary acrobats, a score by Melbourne composer Jethro Woodward and a striking lighting design. Punters can expect a spectacular showcase of acrobatic sequences with sharp moments of close-up intimacy and bold acts of athleticism – or in other words, Circa at its best.
