Mother’s Day Art
Creative mums will love QUT Art Museum’s free clay workshops on Mother’s Day. Make your very own clay pinch pot to take home with the help of experienced ceramicist Virginia Jones, who first made traditional pinch pots in the 80s in a village in Papua New Guinea.
Held in conjunction with the exhibition Earth and fire: Ceramics from the QUT Art Collection, visitors are invited to take time to enjoy the ceramic art on display and dedicated reading room. If you want to pull out all the stops, treat Mum to an elegant High Tea at adjacent Old Government House Brisbane after the workshop.
This event is free, but bookings are essential so don’t delay!
