Mike Love (Hawaii)

Hawaii’s epic talent Mike Love visits Brisbane at the end of the year with his percussionist Sam Ites, as part of their worldwide ‘The Great Remembering’ tour. Mike will be supported by Tim Snider, renowned violinist for popular US band Nahko and Medicine for the People.

With a foundation rooted in the spirituality and message-based music of Reggae and Rastafari, Mike draws on many musical genres, including reggae, folk, blues, flamenco, jazz and R&B, to create a style uniquely his own. His live show uses live looping, effects pedals and a hybrid acoustic/electric drum kit; nothing is pre-recorded – everything is performed and recorded on the spot, which keeps the show constantly evolving and always exciting.

Mike has shared the stage with artists such as Michael Franti, Trevor Hall, Nahko and Medicine For The People, Xavier Rudd, Rebelution, John Butler Trio, Groundation, Steel Pulse, Dave Matthews and Jack Johnson. His song ‘Permanent Holiday’ has almost 15 million views on Youtube.

All shows sold out on their last tour, so please get yours well in advance!
