Kunjiel (Corroboree) – Music & Dance

A stellar line up of music and dance has been announced for Kunjiel (Corroboree), the two day closing event of the Quandamooka Festival, on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah).

The event will feature bush tucker, market stalls, Indigenous arts and crafts, and live music performances by artists from the lexicon of Aboriginal Australia’s discography including Black Armband, Roger Knox and Band, Adam James Band, Joe Geia, and Rochelle Pitt, along with the Yulu Burri Dancers, Quandamooka spoken-word artists, and special ‘surprise’ guests.

The family-friendly event is priced at an incredibly reasonable $15 for a one-day pass on Saturday or Sunday, or $20 for unlimited entry over the two days, making it ideal for a weekend stay.

Further information on the Kunjiel and bookings via the Quandamooka Festival website.

There is a wide range of accommodation available on North Stradbroke Island through Straddie Camping, including new Glamping Tents and even newer Eco Island Tents, which will make their debut in time for Kunjiel. For a full range of accommodation options across the Island, head here.

The annual Quandamooka Festival is a three month calendar of events from July to September that celebrates the culture, country and the Indigenous people of the Quandamooka (Moreton Bay) region.
