Jamie Durie

Ten years ago, Jamie Durie made the move from landscape design to interior and furniture design.

Spend an afternoon by the river with Jamie Durie as we celebrate the release of his first book on interior design Living Design and Jamie shares his secrets on how to bring the outside in, and create a ‘transterior’ home totally at one with nature.

Jamie will refer to stunning examples of transterior spaces around the world, from a Brazilian beach house, to a luxury Chelsea townhouse or a lake house nestled in the woodland of upstate New York along with invaluable practical advice on how you too can achieve his signature quintessentially Australian style.

‘‘What we are trying to do is re-create the outdoors vibe indoors, because we believe everything feels better outside – lounging, dining, cooking, sleeping or chatting to your friends and family. We want you to feel just as good inside as you do outside.”

Join us to celebrate Durie’s book release, in conversation with freelance curator, writer and commentator Alison Kubler.

Writers+Ideas is supported by O’Neill Architecture and RPS.
