Bouncing Back Handball Festival

Join your whole community to play our great national game and to promote understanding of mental health.

The New Farm Handball Festival was held at Brisbane Powerhouse in 2012 and 2015. It began as an Aussie school yard handball competition extravaganza featuring one on one competitions, casual foursquare, entertainment, and prizes involving the whole New Farm community. The whole community has since come together (all ages and abilities) to participate in the game we all love, whilst boosting social capital. In 2016 it will be even bigger and better and run as a Mental Health Week activity, renamed as the Bouncing Back Handball Festival.

This festival is developed in collaboration with the Neighbourhood Centre, community members, local businesses and schools and is a genuine community event with nothing for sale besides food and drinks and opportunities to participate on multiple levels.

Entry is free for the whole family, but registrations are essential. Register here.
