Count her in: celebrate International Women’s Day with UN Women Australia

Join UN Women Australia this International Women’s Day as they come together under the theme Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress to raise vital funds for the world’s women and girls.

Australia’s pre-eminent IWD fundraising event will be held on Friday 8 March at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre with a live address from Chiou See Anderson, President of the National Council of Women Australia.

An inaugural member of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Women’s Economic Equality Taskforce, and Founder and Operator of Element Retirement Villages, Chiou See will share valuable insights on business leadership and female-led entrepreneurship, advancing women’s economic inclusion and empowerment, and shaping gender policies and care economies.

Advancing gender equality both in Australia and globally, she is also a board member of the International Council of Women and Head of Delegation for W20, an official G20 engagement group established to ensure gender considerations are included in the G20 Leaders Declaration.

Chiou See joins an inspiring speaker lineup for UN Women Australia’s International Women’s Day events in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth, which will also feature an exclusive virtual presentation from Michele Bullock, Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, engaging in a rare conversation about her passion for inclusion, diversity and belonging, and her perspectives on diverse and equal leadership.
