History Retold – Brisbane Writers Festival 2015

History Retold – Brisbane Writers Festival 2015

History is a Google search away. We memorise names and dares, recall births and battles, but there is a richness to our past that only fiction can capture. Rohan Wilson, Fiona McIntosh and Steven Carroll discuss how they reimagine history and add the glitter to times and places of long ago. History Retold is presented by The University of Queensland Library, as part of the Brisbane Writers Festival. A 3-session pass is available for this event, purchase your ticket online.

The Brisbane Writers Festival is back for 2015 and it’s set to be another wonderful year of literary inspiration. The community celebration will bring a huge program of events to venues in and around South Bank’s Cultural Precinct, as well as various libraries across Brisbane and the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus. Running from Wednesday September 2 to Sunday September 6, this year’s festival covers thought-provoking discussions and debates through to inspiring talks and workshops. Tickets are available by individual event, a three-session package or golden ticket. Take a closer look at the program and download the venue map online.
