Australia’s most innovative indie orchestra will be presenting an audio-visual exploration of Mumbai to Brisbane Powerhouse audiences from Thursday July 2 to Saturday July 4. Soak up the sounds of lush strings and bass beats, while unique visuals from Indian sand artist Siddhi Yadav will tickle the senses. Audience members are invited to get involved by using their smart phones to access DeepBlue’s Electronic Show Program, which offers background information about the music and story, and allows users to share their personal responses. DeepBlue will engage local teachers, young musicians and choir singers of all ages in the lead-up to the show, with some being given a unique performance opportunity on stage. Exotic instruments including the tabla, shahibaja and shahkeman will all complete the experience.
