Cinco De Mayo

Cinco De Mayo

Originally, Cinco de Mayo was a day that commemorated the Mexican battle of Puebla where the French were defeated, and heritage, pride and national unity was restored. Today, Cinco de Mayo (the fifth of May) marks a celebration of Mexican culture, cuisine, cocktails, and music. So, bust out your sandals and sombreros for a banging night of salsa, spice, and the occasional miscellaneous donkey. Head on down to Riverlife for Mexican style dancing, Mariachi roving band and great Mexican food.
