It’s time to get excited for the return of Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas, once again bringing music by day and movies by night to Brisbane’s iconic Rainforest Green at South Bank from Friday October 2 to Sunday November 15. Open Tuesday to Sunday throughout the season, and with live music from an array of Brisbane’s best up-and-coming artists every Sunday, guests can expect to enjoy an alfresco cinema experience with friendly festival vibes like no other.

Film lovers can expect to be tempted with an assortment of the latest new releases and the best cult favourites. Enjoy your evening under the stars in comfort with deckchairs, bean loungers and blankets  available for hire as part of ticket packages. Or grab the ever popular, Volkswagon Polo Class ticket which includes reserved premium seating, where you will be rugged up in a blanket, comforted with a cushion, with a drink and a Ben Jerry’s shortie in each hand. Plus, a fully licensed bar stocked with a selection of Giesen wines, beer and cider be on offer. Vespa Pizza will be serving up a delicious range of signature salads and gourmet pizzas to satisfy your tastebuds. Of course a range of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavours will be on offer. Make sure you get your hands on a free ice cream, in between your Putt Putt, Pick-aPat and Giant Cow Jenga lawn games during your Sundae Session visit. 

Get the troops together and head on down to the Opening Night on Sunday October 4, where local Gold Coast solo artist Taylor Moss will get you feeling all the right vibes for a chilled Sunday session on the greens. Ben & Jerry’s will be holding a Battle of the Bands online, in the hunt for the best up-and-coming act to open the stage for the first Sundae Session before Brisbane duo, Neighbour grace the stage. Other local acts on the cards for the season include, The Company, Mzaza and The Altais.

Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas will provide the ultimate place to kick start your weekend each and every Friday as Aperol Sunsets will see the best local DJs hit the decks to provide the perfect musical backdrop for Aperol Spritz sundowners. Keep a look out for free samples, available to those over 18 years.

Brisbane is the first stop of the nationwide Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas tour which will go on to excite audiences in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.
