Hitting the road to perform tracks off their debut album release entitled By Design, Melbourne three-piece As A Rival embark on an extensive tour which takes in the eastern seaboard, storming the stage The Zoo in Brisbane on Friday April 22.

By Design, recorded and co-produced by Tom Read (Bodyjar) and mixed by Grammy Award winning producer Adam Kasper (Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden), boasts a myriad of guests including Grant Relf & Shane Wakker (Bodyjar), Rich Hall (Laser Brains) and Charlie Zulu (Darn Matter).

As A Rival are driven by a feisty fire during their live performance, and are influenced by an array of genres, anchored by rock and punk to define their sound, leaving nothing to the imagination. Their sound is urgent, hard-hitting, instant and furious, and the band are keen to cement themselves as one of Australia’s best live acts.
