Archie 100: Up Late

On Friday September 8, Archie 100: Up Late will meld a century of Australian culture and art, as Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize is brought to life after the sun sets. Gallery-goers will be able to immerse themselves in roving performances from local artists, from blue-collar blues to modern First Nations dance. DJs will be on the decks all night long, playing your favourite Aussie music anthems – think Powderfinger, Kylie Minogue and Australian Crawl. Make sure to put your creative hat on and head to The Studio in HOTA Gallery to try out a portrait-inspired workshop. You never know, you might be the next Archibald Prize winner!

All that roaming around might work up an appetite, so we suggest noshing on some snacks from the Australian-inspired food menu from the food trucks downstairs. Alternatively, you can trot upstairs to The Exhibitionist Bar, where you can dig into the likes of The Great Aussie Beef Pie, a burger with the lot or a deep-fried Mars bar. Those looking to level up their dining experience can head to Palette for a flavoursome five-course dinner, which can be enjoyed before or after you check out the exhibition and pop-up entertainment. The night continues upstairs at The Exhibitionist Bar from 10:00 pm until midnight with an after-party DJ spinning beats while you dance the night away.

Grab your tickets to Archie 100: Up Late at the HOTA website.
