APT10 Up Late
Up Late returns to GOMA for an outdoor celebration over two spectacular evenings, with sets by leading local and interstate musicians and DJs, art-making workshops, flavoursome fare and much more on the cards. On Friday March 18, Up Late will feature sick beats from Sydney hip hop artist L-FRESH The LION, a powerful performance by Malyangapa and Barkindji rapper BARKAA, and a must-see hyper-pop set by local legend LÂLKA. Saturday March 19 will see Butchulla hip-hop artist BIRDZ perform as well as sets from Sydney-based Korean rap crew 1300 and Indian-Australian electronic-pop singer-songwriter ASHWARYA. These trance-inducing tunes will be accompanied by spin-worthy sets from DJs across the two evenings, with Boom Boom Bean Selecta, dameeeela, RedBelly, Scalymoth, Zed Mero, BABYMAMA, Dentallplan, J ALEXANDER and Luke Brazier all making an appearance.
Visitors can also channel their creative energy with drop-in art-making workshops designed by APT10 artists Phuong Ngo and Vipoo Srivilasa, where they can craft decorative plasticine mooncakes with a hidden message and create a wearable animal deity headpiece. Of course, your ticket to Up Late will also take you on a journey through 69 projects by emerging and established artists and collectives from more than 30 countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
