An Evening with David Sedaris

Best-selling American author and humourist David Sedaris has announced a highly anticipated fourth sojourn to Australia following his previous sold out tours.

An Evening with David Sedaris will see the masterful writer with a cult following performing new and unpublished material at the Brisbane City Hall on Wednesday January 24, 2018.

Having recently released his latest book Theft By Finding: Diaries (1977-2002) to critical acclaim and adoring reviews, Sedaris will visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra for a series of live performances featuring all-new stories and observations plus audience Q&As and book signings.

His most recent work provides a rare and personal insight into the diary entries of a unique and modern observer, which are a potent reminder that there’s no such thing as a boring day – when you’re as perceptive and curious as Sedaris, adventure waits around every corner.

A regular contributor to The New Yorker, over the course of his career Sedaris has penned the revered books Barrel Fever and Holidays on Ice, as well as collections of personal essays including Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames and Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls.

Guaranteed to be bursting with his signature acerbic wit and razor-sharp social critiques, don’t miss your chance to spend an evening with one of the world’s pre-eminent humour writers.
