Alliance Française French Film Festival
Returning to Palace Cinemas in Brisbane from Tuesday July 14 to Tuesday August 4, the anticipated 31st annual Alliance Française French Film Festival is poised to seduce audiences with an incendiary selection of features, documentaries and more, all of which showcase the passion, artistry and dazzling diversity of contemporary French cinema.
The festival’s 31st year will take audiences on a thrilling journey with a spectacular selection of 28 contemporary and classic French films, many enjoying their Australian premiere. The Brisbane arm of the festival will relaunch on Tuesday July 14 with a screening of of the whimsical, witty romantic tale La Belle Époque, kick starting a memorable voyage into the broad spectrum of French cinema. The romantic mayhem of The Bare Necessity (Perdrix), the directorial debut of Erwan Le Duc, will close the festival on Tuesday August 4. Expect a little bit of everything throughout the festival’s three weeks, from Cannes-closing features (The Extraordinary) to heartfelt true stories (Les Misérables) and hilarious comedies (How To Be A Good Wife).
