Active Parks Dance at South Bank

Dance enthusiasts can kick up their heels at free evening dance classes at South Bank thanks to Brisbane City Council’s Active Parks Dance Program. The four-week program is on now at The Courier-Mail Piazza and runs until August 20, featuring classes in Rhythm Foxtrot and Tango, Latin Dancing, Hip Hop Dance Circuit, Cha Cha Cha and Jive.

The Latin Dancing classes covers the basic steps of the Salsa, Merengue and Bachata, while Rhythm Foxtrot and Tango teaches ballroom dance to beautiful rhythms. For an upbeat and colourful dance experience, the program’s Cha Cha Cha and Jive will have participants dancing to the beat of the Latin American rhythms. Or if contemporary dance is more your speed, the Hip Hop Dance Circuit will have you moving and grooving.

Dance classes are guided by fully qualified instructors and have been designed for all skill levels. Participants do not require an advanced booking or a dance partner to get involved. The classes are held from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm from Monday to Thursday weekly throughout the duration of the program.
