The Stitchery Collective and Shandy have decided to embark on a collective imagining of utopia. We’re coming together to bring you a space emancipated from the out-dated shackles of expectations and prejudice around our gender, sexuality and bodies. Imagine a space where, for one evening, cis-het norms are discarded and we step together into a glitteringly queer multiverse filled with love, acceptance and wild dancing.

BOWERYTOPIA
Bowerytopia is a radical queer costume + dance party, inspired by and paying homage to the imagination and creativity of queer icon, Leigh Bowery. Join us and be entertained by a line-up of artists, performers and DJs inspired by Leigh Bowery and curated by Shandy’s Daddy, DJ Sweaty Baby.

But that’s not all! The pace of the evening will continue to heighten, leading to the CLIMAX of the evening – the infamous Bowery Costume Competition! That’s right – we want you to pay homage and channel the spirit of Bowery to create your wild and radical party looks, with prizes being awarded for the best dressed of you who transport us into alternate universes with your costumes. The question on everyone’s lips: Who will be crowned the Queen of BOWERYTOPIA 2021?
