Over the years, Valley Fiesta has brought us performances from the likes of Flume, Alison Wonderland, Violent Soho, The Jungle Giants, Ball Park Music and many many more – for free! This year is shaping up to be just as impressive, with a massive roster of acts gearing up to rock Fortitude Valley on Friday November 3 and Saturday November 4. It’s all happening across four stages spanning across King Street, Chinatown Mall, Brunswick Street Mall, Bakery Lane and Winn Lane, which is where you’ll find some of Brisbane’s best local talents, a spectacular selection of street eats and a packed program of parties. The festival will kick off on Friday November 3 with the King Street Food Fiesta. We suggest you come hungry as your favourite King Street eateries will be lined up and ready to sling a lip-smacking array of street-food-inspired tasting plates from just $8. On top of the flavoursome feasting selection, the street will come alive with an array of awe-inspiring artists including Taitu’uga, Australian and Maori vocalist Kuzco and alt-pop artist Lucy Korts. Then on Saturday November 4, the Valley precinct will transform into the ultimate street party, with headline performances from the Brisbane pop princess Mallrat, psychedelic fusion group Mildlife and dream-pop singer Hatchie. Bolstering the line-up will be new-age artist Skeleten, high-energy quintet First Beige, two-piece noise band Party Dozen, alternative rock band Selve and many more.
