American dream weavers Mercury Rev bring their neo-psychedelic stardust to The Zoo (on The Zoo’s 23rd birthday, no less) on Friday December 11. For their first Brisbane headline show since 2002, the legendary Mercury Rev will be joined by Brisbane duo Primitive Motion, blasting through the time/space vortex on their second full-length album, Pulsating Time Fibre; and special guest opener Faint Spells, aka New Zealand’s Rebekah Davies, a longtime and long distance collaborator of Mercury Rev’s Jonathan Donahue. Mercury Rev come to The Zoo with a beautiful new album in tow, The Light In You (out now on Bella Union). Doors open at 8:00 pm. Faint Spells will take the stage from 8:30 pm, Primitive Motion from 9:20 pm and Mercury Rev will close the evening with a bang from 10:20 pm. It’s sure to be a buzzing night out!
