Beloved American comedian Maria Bamford is Brisbane-bound this July, delivering her sharp observations on family dynamics and human eccentricities in an unmissable stand-up show at The Tivoli.

The New York Times best-selling author, actor and multi-award winning comic is renowned across the globe for combining sharp humour with empathy, as she weaves stories about her life and her own mental health journey in with wickedly funny comedy. 

The 2024 Australian tour follows on from what was a busy year for Bamford, both the release of her special and her acclaimed memoir, Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult: A Memoir of Mental Illness and the Quest To Belong Anywhere. Along with her own projects, Bamford has lent her voice to various animations including Big Mouth, BoJack Horseman, Bob’s Burgers and American Dad!; while also guest starring in television series including Arrested Development, Portlandia and Kroll Show.
