Listen up, movie lovers! Brisbane International Film Festival 2022 is returning from October 27 to November 6 with a program of cinematic gems.

This year BIFF will be delighting audiences with a diverse range of award-winning films, highly anticipated releases, home grown content, heartfelt stories and action-packed films from emerging voices. The stacked program will include national and international premiers, exclusive preview screenings, industry panels, Q&A’s and special events across a number of Brisbane venues.

Kicking off the festival will be the Queensland Premiere of the fun-loving, romantic comedy Seriously Red at BIFF’s 2022 headquarters, Brisbane Powerhouse. Directed by Gracie Otto, this film will have you feeling inspired to take chances, follow your dreams and channel your inner Dolly Parton. BIFF will close on Sunday November 6, with the Closing Night Red Carpet Gala premier of Australian feature Sweet As. Aptly described as the Breakfast Club meets the Outback in a coming-of-age story, the Western Australian film is the first to be written and directed by an Indigenous female in Jub Clerc. You don’t want to miss out on this line-up, fit for all self-proclaimed and acclaimed cinephiles and movie buffs.
