Bank of Queensland Hackathon

Bank of Queensland Hackathon

Calling all tech heads!

The next generation of tech entrepreneurs are being called on to come up with ideas that will disrupt the banking and finance industry and solve real business problems, at the inaugural BOQ Hackathon.

Hosted by Bank of Queensland (BOQ) and technology start-up hub River City Labs, budding innovators and tech-heads will pitch their business idea and solution to a panel of high-profile tech judges, including Queensland’s Chief Entrepreneur, Mark Sowerby, Ezidebit founder Michael Dempsey, Infocus Chief Operating Officer, Jo Willoughby, and BOQ’s Chief Information Officer, Donna-Maree Vinci.

Participants will choose one of the below problems to solve:

1. How might we use data to provide improved customer value?
2. How might we create an integrated banking experience for millennials?
3. How might we make it easier for customers to switch banks?
4. Open/ Creative FinTech idea

Participants have the chance to win mentoring from Steve Baxter, one of Australia’s most successful tech entrepreneurs, and a raft of support to help focus and bring the winner’s idea to life and the market. Become the next entrepreneur success story!
