Bangarra Dance Theatre – Yuldea

Bangarra Dance Theatre – Yuldea

Immerse yourself in the stories that hover in the sky at QPAC’s Yuldea. From the spectacular storytellers of Bangarra Dance Theatre, Yuldea explores the displacement of the Anangu people from their traditional life, when it collided with the industrial ambition of a growing nation in 1917. Forced to leave their desert homeland, in which they had lived for a millennia, the Anangu endured, determined to keep strong their knowledge systems of land and sky, and eternal bond between people and place through storytelling.

A first work for Frances Rings as artistic director, Yuldea is a ceremonial affirmation of history and heritage. Featuring music by Leon Rodgers, with featured songs by multi-award-winning duo Electric Fields (Zaachariaha Fielding and Michael Ross), alongside creative designers Elizabeth Gadsby (Set), Jennifer Irwin (Costume) and Karen Norris (Lighting), be transported to a desert world, where history, culture and stories of the Anangu people take centre stage.

Don’t miss your chance to experience this powerful performance. Head here for more information and to secure your tickets.
