On Sunday February 9, Queen Street Mall will become an open dance floor, hosting a break dancing and open-style dance competition.

Dancers will battle it out to become champion of the Official Australian Wild Card Championship for Singapore Dancers. Dancers in the competition will gain points from judges and whoever reaches seven wins in each 20-30 minute round is reigned champion. The winners will then have the chance to represent their country at Radikal Forze, Asia’s premier hip hop festival in Singapore. In the words of the late, great David Bowie – “let’s dance!”.

This event follows the BrisAsia Dance Qualifiers held Saturday February 8. Presented by Brisbane City Council, BrisAsia Dance Showcase is part of BrisAsia Festival, celebrating Asian culture in Brisbane from February 1 to February 29 2020.
