To coincide with National Anti-Poverty Week, Wesley Mission Queensland and Griffith University Queensland College of Art are proud to present The Power of Community. This moving photojournalism exhibition will feature images and stories captured by Griffith University students that shine a light on the everyday Queenslanders making an extraordinary difference in their local communities.

Students have travelled to regional areas of the state, including Mt Isa, Rockhampton and Charleville, as well as the South East corner, to investigate the challenges Queenslanders face and those volunteers, sporting coaches, community service workers and everyday people working to build stronger communities. These are their untold stories.

Entry to the exhibition is free, and the show will be on display until Saturday October 22. A special opening night will be held on Wednesday October 19 from 6:00–8:00 pm, and to RSVP all you have to do is email [email protected].
