Anne “Eddo” Edmonds makes a much-anticipated return to the Brisbane Comedy Festival with a brand new hour of stand up. She arrives following a stellar 2015, which saw her sell out shows, score rave reviews and walk away with the highly-coveted, peer judged Piece Of Wood award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Having burst onto the comedy scene in 2010 as a national finalist in Raw Comedy, Anne went on to receive a nomination for Best Emerging Comedy Talent at the Adelaide Fringe Festival the following year. The hype and critical acclaim has continued since. As well as performances to sell-out crowds on the Australian comedy festival circuit and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Anne has received invitations to perform at the 34th Seattle International Comedy Competition, New York Comedy Festival and Just For Laughs at the Sydney Opera House. She also supported US podcast and comedy superstar Marc Maron on his 2015 Australian Tour as well as perform her first season at London’s Soho Theatre. Thanks to her videos on YouTube, her onstage character work has also built a cult following; most notably her ABC-produced video, Raylene the Racist, and most recently, the hit parody True Australian Patriots. Off the stage, she has been seen on ABC TV’s Dirty Laundry Live, It’s A Date and Backseat Drivers.
