The Cootha Classic

The Cootha Classic

There’s nothing quite like a leisurely afternoon drive, and although The Cootha Classic is a little bit more high octane it’s still one heck of a show. One of Brisbane’s best motorsport festivals, The Cootha Classic is a day event that boasts street sprints along Mount Coot-tha’s roads. Hundreds of amateur drivers will be assembling at the starting line of a 1440-metre hill climb track along Sir Samuel Griffith Drive, showcasing a fleet of classic and modern cars. The day will also include live music from the likes of Ash Grunwald, Sahara Beck, Karl S Williams and Tom West as well as food and drink stalls and interactive displays for car enthusiasts to enjoy.

No parking will be available at Mount Coot-Tha, attendees should be aware that from 8:00 am you will be able to jump on one of the free shuttle busses operating from Ballymore Stadium and the Brisbane Transit Centre.
