What is the Gold Coast actually? Is it a geographic border, a cultural identity, a sporting arena, a sunburnt holiday mecca?

It has been said over and over that the Gold Coast is a transient tourism town, but exactly who are the half-a-million locals who call the Gold Coast home? In this extraordinary performance experience from acclaimed Berlin-based theatre company Rimini Protokoll, you’re invited to meet them.

Home Visit Australia sees 10 every day locals open their private residences to complete strangers, inviting an intimate audience of just 15 people to become part of a living room performance that interweaves personal stories and the big issues affecting modern day Australians.

Each performance takes place in a different home and thus becomes part of an ongoing conversation and growing global legacy of Home Visit from across the world.
