American Express Openair Cinemas is bringing more than movies to the Gold Coast this spring, as an exciting festival program of food, fun and flicks is revealed.

This year’s program is an exciting mix of box office hits, highly anticipated new releases and cult classics including Logan Lucky, The Big Sick, Battle of the Sexes, It(a spooky Halloween screening), Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Blade Runner 2049 and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Purveyors of fine food and authentic Italian cuisine, Salt Meats Cheese will be transporting diners to the streets of Rome as they host a series of alfresco long table dinners.  A delicious three-course meal paired with wine will be served at three pop-up events at each location. Head honchos Stefano De Blasi and Edoardo Perlo, who share a mutual passion for honest cooking and quality ingredients, will also be curating the daily menu of irresistible dishes available throughout the cinema season. The drinks are taken care of too with a dedicated cocktail bar serving a refreshing twist on summer classics, 4Pines craft beer and Giesen Wine.

Festival vibes will be in full swing each night with an array of alternative entertainment, live music and DJ performances before the latest and greatest feature films light up the big screen. Over at Crafty Corner guests will have the chance to ‘Pimp a Pineapple’ or enjoy masterclasses in knitting, macrame and more. Plus, learn how to style it like a pro, with hands-on hair braiding tutorials. Kylie Jenner, eat your heart out!

If you’re short of company, Doggy Dates will give visitors the chance to pat a pooch during the movie, with all proceeds going to support the RSPCA.
