Suki unveils its new Gasworks locale in time for summer snacking
When the mercury rises, the last thing we want to eat is something oppressively hot. One of the main reasons poke bowls have caught on is due to its refreshing combination of raw fish, fresh vegetables and sauces that can fill you up without causing you to work up a sweat. Suki is continuing its takeover of Brisbane with its third location – a brightly coloured space in the heart of Newstead’s Gasworks – complete with some new menu items to help keep you chilled throughout summer.
Suki at Gasworks Plaza is the newest spot for poke-obsessed patrons to seek out in Brisbane, following on from the flagship South Bank spot and its younger sibling in Bulimba. If you’ve managed to elude the poke bowl craze thus far, here’s a brief rundown – Suki serves up Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls consisting of raw fish salads and sushi burritos, both filled to the brim with fresh and nutritious ingredients. These vibrant and colourful meals are filled with varied combinations of rice, greens, protein and sauce mixed together to create a meal to your specifications.
Suki at Gasworks is charging into summer with fervour, debuting some new menu items that will take the sting out of the hotter months. Long-time fans of Suki will notice that the menu now includes organic tempeh and tempura whiting, seasonal summer fruits and vegetables as well as a special staff-designed bowl to try. The team at Suki aren’t afraid to get creative with its bowl specials – keep your eye out for special summer bowls served inside the likes of watermelons and rockmelons, which will add a fruity spin on your lunchtime poke.
