Take a trip through time with Tales of a Time Travelling Songstress

A cabaret singer is transplanted 100 years into the future and has only her talent to rely upon. This entertaining performance will be taking place at the Judith Wright Centre on Saturday June 11.

It’s early in the 1900s and cabaret is taking the world by storm. Kittie is a cabaret singer who is set adrift in time, finding herself in the futuristic time of 2016 to find that cabaret is still celebrated generations after its origin. Join Kittie as she navigates and sings her way through time to a back drop of hand-drawn art and live piano.

Tales of a Time Travelling Songstress features a stellar playlist of tunes from the likes of Nat King Cole, Sia, Fleetwood Mac as well as a little bit of yodelling. The show has been written by rising theatre star Bobbie-Jean Henning, who also fills the role of Kittie. Head to the Judith Wright Centre website to purchase your tickets before they disappear.

If you are keen to take in some of Fortitude Valley’s dining before or after the show, we recommend Rogue Spice Canteen + Bar, Harajuku Gyoza or Bloodhound Corner Bar & Kitchen.
