Enjoy sea shanties with Ship to Shore

The sea-faring life may have been one of great adventure, but it could also be one filled with solitude. To while away the time spent at sea, men would seek solace in song, sharing many a tune amongst friends and fellow sailors. The most memorable of these sea shanties have been collected to play at the Queensland Conservatorium’s show Ship to Shore. The evening is a performance of classic sea songs, adaptions and sea-related music, collected from Holland, Ireland, England and Canada. Performing the melodies will be Song Company, accompanied by the talented pluckings of guest guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan. @ Queensland Conservatorium, November 2 more
