Melbourne isn’t just home to countless delicious cafes and stylish creative types, but it is also the birthplace of a rising number of talented young bands. One of these is The Paper Kites, a group of five boys and one girl who play together under a shared love for folk and indie tunes. The band has just released its new EP Young North, the follow-up to the gang’s successful first EP, Woodland. In celebration, The Paper Kites is taking its sound around the country for a first-ever national tour, to be joined by Art of Sleeping and Battleships. You’ll have a chance to enjoy the group’s melodies when it stops in Brisbane to play cosy cavern The Zoo this Saturday.
