Sandy feet and specialty sips – get your fix at Palm Beach’s new beachfront coffee nook Jeffersons
When you jump out of the ocean after a morning swim or surf, often the first thing you want to do is get your salty lips around a decent coffee. Capturing the caffeine-loving beach dwellers is Jeffersons, a new seaside nook on Jefferson Lane in Palm Beach where you’ll find specialty brews pouring daily from the crack of dawn.
Tucked below Palm Beach Surf Club, Jeffersons is quite literally just footsteps from the ocean. You can stroll in with sandy feet, nab a stool and enjoy the view with a morning latte – or swing in with your surfboard under your arm for a takeaway post-paddle piccolo. Here it’s very much about the coffee, with specialty blends from Burleigh’s popular Social Espresso on pour, as well as cold-brew varieties from local outfit Two Amigos.
There are a few bites to accompany the brews, from locally made protein balls to injected doughnuts baked fresh daily from Currumbin’s Fuel Bakehouse, muffins, pastries, local-sourdough toasties jammed with thick-cut ham, cheese and tomato, as well banana bread with house-made cinnamon butter. There’s also cold-pressed juices and kombucha by the bottle, as well as a stash of communal picnic rugs that you can roll out on the adjacent grassy knoll.
