Somerset Celebration of Entrepreneurship

Somerset Celebration of Entrepreneurship

Some of the state’s best entrepreneurs will converge on the Gold Coast in October for the inaugural Somerset Celebration of Entrepreneurship – the city’s first entrepreneurship festival catered to children, students and the wider community.

The Festival will provide students and adults from across the Gold Coast, the opportunity to meet and be inspired by 15 of Queensland’s best and brightest entrepreneurs.

Held from 10 to 11 October, the Festival will see visitors take part in a host of FREE workshops, sessions and events and hope to inspire the wider community to embrace entrepreneurship in both social and for profit contexts.

The festival will include renowned tech entrepreneur, investor and Shark Tank’s ‘shark’ Steve Baxter and 2017 QLD Chief Entrepreneur and founder of Blue Sky Investments, Mark Sowerby as special guests.

Other special guests will include 2016 Young Australians of the Year Nicholas Marchesi and Lucas Patchett, who founded Orange Sky Laundry; 2009 Best Job in the World winner, Ben Southall; 17-year-old Brisbane based inventor and QLD Young Australian of the Year, Taj Pabari; Bond University’s Baden U’Ren and more.
