QPOW on Broadbeach is back from April 8 to 10, incorporating the Supanova Pop Culture Expo and the Gold Coast Film Festival. Broadbeach will be celebrating throughout the weekend with the Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles free live shows with meet and greets, free movies in Victoria Park along with the Supanova Superhero Parade for the whole family to enjoy.

FREE MOVIES IN THE PARK
Friday April 8, will be a spellbinding evening inspired by Hogwarts itself with a real life Quidditch Exhibition Match with teams competing for the golden snitch from 5:00 pm and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone at 6:30pm.

Two classic feature films will take over the park on Saturday April 9 with ET the Extra Terrestrial at 6:00 pm and Ghostbusters from 8:00 pm.

NICKELODEON’S TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES
Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be putting their ninjutsu skills to the test performing two live shows, Saturday and Sunday on the Broadbeach Mall Stage along with meet and greet opportunities with the whole gang in the Oasis Shopping Centre.

CRITICAL HIT
Saturday at 7:00 pm, Critical Hit will take over the Broadbeach Mall Stage for an incredible free performance.  This symphonic rock band will be performing electrifying music from the most celebrated video games of all time.  Embark on a rediscovery of timeless pieces from The Legend of Zelda, Halo, World of Warcraft, Super Mario Bros, Pokemon, Call of Duty, Sonic the Hedgehog,  Tetris, and more!

SUPANOVA SUPERHERO PARADE
The Supanova  Superhero Parade will bring the streets to life on Sunday April 10 from 9:00 am. This is the perfect morning for families to head into Broadbeach to see super star celebrities and characters from all genres including comic books, fantasy and more. This year there is plenty more to see including the one and only Optimus Prime from Transformers, Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the 501st Legion, Blinky Bill and Nutsy, Blade from Gold Coast Titans, Sunny Ray from Gold Coast Suns, Draculas Drax 4 Kids cast & Draculettes, Jorth Gar Living History Society, Mantis Kung Fu Academy’s Lion Dancers, Bond University Cheerleading Team, NBN’s Big Dog, Life Education’s Healthy Harold and more!

LOCAL HEROES MEET & GREET AND ENTERTAINMENT
Following the Supanova Superhero Parade will be the local heroes meet and greet and entertainment, being hosted in Victoria Park Broadbeach. This is an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the parade guests including Blinky Bill and Nutsy, Blade from Gold Coast Titans, Sunny Ray from Gold Coast Suns, Draculas Drax 4 kids cast, the Jorth Gar Living History Society, Cancer Council’s Sid the Seagull, Life Education’s Healthy Harold and more! The Jorth Gar Living History Society will also be hosting a live viking reenactment battle display – this is not to be missed!
