Fundraiser BBQ for Ahmed Othman

Fundraiser BBQ for Ahmed Othman

McNab tradies and subcontractors will host a beach barbec$ue fundraiser for six year old Kirra boy Ahmed Othman, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy and a number of developmental delays.

The builders have already raised more than $8,000 for Ahmed, whose father Sam has kidney problems and mother Nicole has Huntington’s Disease.

The beach barbeque is open to the public, with tickets selling on the day for $5 each or three passes for $10, with all proceeds going towards a trust fund for Ahmed as a safety net should anything happen to Sam.

More than 200 groups and people are expected to attend to support the youngster, including Gold Coast City Council, TAFE QLD, Rotary Club and Monster Energy Drinks.

The Othman family are neighbours to a new Kirra beachfront development being constructed by McNab, with McNab staff befriending Sam during the course of the build after learning about the family’s story. McNab hopes the event will help to reach its fundraising target of $25,000.
