Fearless Film Festival

Fearless Film Festival

Showcasing seniors living fearlessly! To celebrate Gold Coast Seniors Month, HOTA, Home of the Arts is hosting a Fearless Film Festival with a collection of short films that challenge traditional views and stereotypes around ageing. The Fearless Films extravaganza features short documentaries across the Fearless Film series from season’s one and three, sharing the stories of seniors living bold lives.

The films follow the stories of people aged 73 to 101 living ‘fearlessly’ – be it through paid employment, community service, taking on new challenges or being unashamedly themselves. From a 78-year-old stockman and an 86-year-old driving instructor, to a 91-year-old macadamia farmer and Australia’s first transgender woman – the 15 short films highlight these senior’s infectious enthusiasm and unrelenting zest for life. Attendees will also have a chance to meet some cast and crew.

This event is presented by Feros Care and supported by City of Gold Coast.
