Artifishal and Saving Martha Screening at Patagonia

Artifishal and Saving Martha Screening at Patagonia

Artifishal is a film about people, rivers and the fight for the future of wild fish and the environment that supports them. It explores wild salmon’s slide toward extinction, threats posed by fish hatcheries and farms and our continued loss of faith in nature.

Closer to home, Tasmania’s marine environments have also been significantly impacted by industrial salmon farming. Now, these farms are setting their sights on King Island, close to the world-class waves of Martha Lavinia Beach, and unwittingly picking a fight with surfers worldwide. The film Saving Martha looks at the issue of fish farming, which is impacting wild fish locally.

Head over to Patagonia for a screening of both Artifishal and Saving Martha. Doors open at 6:00 pm for refreshments, with screenings starting at 6:30 pm.
